June Fairgrounds Flea Market Finds

by mary June 22, 2016

Saturday June 18 was the monthly Fairgrounds Flea Market.  I haven't found much at the last few flea markets there, but this time, I felt like I hit the jackpot!

The first thing I found were these old-cork filled pop bottle caps.

Here's an example of a necklace I made earlier this year from a bottle cap.

I'm thinking about trying to make a pair of earrings with a couple of the bottle caps, since I have pairs now that match.

I also picked up a nice piece of chain & 2 Cracker Jack/gumball celluloid cat charms.

I was especially pleased to find the cat charms, as cat charms are very hard to find -- much harder than dog charms for some reason.

The "piece de resistance", though, was this amazing piece (actually 4 large pieces) of barkcloth!

I absolutely love the flower pattern on this barkcloth & plan to use this to cover my tables at the next jewelry show I do -- at the Waukee Art Festival in July.

I was especially pleased with what I found since we weren't able to go to the Walnut Antique Show the day before.

That's all for today -- thanks for reading, & to see more of my jewelry, go to http://paulinesjewelrybox.com.
